The Darwin Convention Centre will join the NT Business Events at the Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) in Melbourne February 20-21. The centre’s Business Development team will be located on the NT Stand #1550 promoting the opportunities for business events in the Top End.
AIME is the premier business events trade show held annually in Australia – international and domestic conference and event planners can visit the two day show, in order to obtain the latest product updates and identify the best destination solutions for their upcoming events.
There is an opportunity to find out more about the new Northern Territory Business Events Support Fund. This scheme provides financial assistance to qualified business events which are at the consideration or bidding stage, and offers A$100 per delegate up to a maximum of A$50,000 per event. Funding will focus on events which align with NT priority industry strengths, which include the health, agribusiness, land management, mining, renewable energy, education and defence sectors.
The Darwin Convention Centre Business Development team will join the NT Business Events in the dedicated networking hour at AIME which runs from 5.00pm on the Tuesday evening, with legendary Territory hospitality featuring special NT-inspired canapes as well as beverages. Visitors to the NT Stand can look forward to lemon myrtle gin and tonics or mango mojitos, both of which feature the fresh produce for which the NT is renowned. Smoked barramundi from the NT’s Humpty Doo Barra Farm, crocodile kabana, native pepper-crusted beef and lemon myrtle-infused feta with green ants makes it clear that cocktails and canapes with the NT is a special experience.
