Where is the Darwin Convention Centre located?

The Centre is located at Stokes Hill Wharf in the Darwin Waterfront Precinct, surrounded by tropical parklands, waterfront dining, and just a short walk from the city centre.

What are your opening hours?

Opening hours vary depending on scheduled events. Our Administration Office operates Monday to Friday during 8:30am – 5:00pm.

Getting Here & Parking

Is parking available?

Yes. The Convention Centre’s basement car park is open 24 hours and charged at a flat rate of $5 per day.
The Darwin Waterfront Precinct offers a range of paid and free public parking options. Additional arrangements may be available for large events.

Is the Centre accessible by public transport?

The Darwin Waterfront Precinct operates a free, 21-seater shuttle bus on a continuous 15-minute loop during peak lunch (11:30 am to 2:00 pm) and dinner (4:00 pm to 9:00 pm) hours daily. It connects local hotels, parking areas, the convention centre, and Stokes Hill Wharf. Bus services operate to nearby city centre stops, and taxis and rideshare services are readily available.

Do you offer accessible parking and entry?

Yes. Accessible parking bays are located close to the venue, and all public areas are designed for full accessibility.

Is Wi Fi available?

Complimentary Wi Fi is available in public foyers. Dedicated high speed internet can be arranged for conferences and events.

Are there ATMs onsite?

There are no ATMs inside the Centre, but several are located throughout the Darwin Waterfront Precinct and Darwin city centre.

Are parents’ rooms or baby changing facilities available?

Yes. Baby changing facilities are available in selected restrooms.

Is the Centre fully accessible?

The Centre offers wheelchair access, lifts, accessible restrooms, and welcomes assistance animals. Our team is happy to support additional accessibility needs.

Can I bring my own food or drinks?

Outside food and beverages are not permitted unless approved by your event organiser. Our in house catering team provides premium hospitality services for all event types.

Are there dining options nearby?

The Darwin Waterfront Precinct offers a wide range of cafés, bars, and restaurants within easy walking distance.

Do you offer hearing loops?

What should I do if I lose something at the Centre?
