Self-Saucing Chocolate Nutmeg Pudding

Preparation: 5 minutes     Cooking time: 30 seconds

Serve:  1 Portion

Pudding Mix Ingredients

3 tablespoons of self raising flour
3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
Sprinkle of nutmeg
3 tablespoons of sugar
4 ½  tablespoons of milk

Topping Ingredients

1 ½ tablespoons of cocoa powder
3 tablespoons of brown sugar
4 tablespoons of hot water


  1. Mix the self raising flour, cocoa, nutmeg, sugar and milk in a mug or other small microwave proof jug.
  2. Sprinkle the extra cocoa powder and brown sugar on top of the pudding mix and then carefully pour on the hot water.
  3. Cook in the microwave for 30 seconds.  The mixture should be combined and cooked, if not, zap for an additional 10 seconds.
  4. Pour into a bowl or serve directly from the mug with ice cream or custard sauce.
  5. Garnish with fresh berries.
