Event: NTCOSS - Lead and Change: Exploring Alternatives to Challenge and Practice

From: September 25, 2017

To: September 27, 2017

Monday 25 September – Pre-Conference Sector Day

The NTCOSS pre-Conference Sector Day is focused on providing delegates with information that will inspire and assist them in their delivery of quality community services. It will include the release of the NTCOSS ‘Value of the Not For Profit Community Sector to the Northern Territory Economy’ report. This will be followed by a presentation from Professor David Gilchrist, as well as presentations on workforce development, and a lively panel discussion on emerging issues for the community and social services sector.

Tuesday 26 – Wednesday 27 September – NTCOSS Conference - Lead and Change: Exploring alternatives to challenge our practice

This Conference promises to be a significant gathering of leaders and innovators from Australia and overseas, and will raise a range of issues and new ideas which are critical to the community and social services sector, and to people in the Northern Territory who may experience disadvantage.

How can governments and the not-for-profit work together to innovate and improve service delivery?  Can governments and the not-for-profit and for-profit sectors work together to innovate and improve service delivery? What are the evidence-based innovative models and solutions that are successful in Australia and overseas? What does it take to change long-held practices?

Bringing together leaders and innovators from the community, social services, and justice sectors, the Conference will be an opportunity for delegates to engage in knowledge enhancement, critical reflection, open discussions on better practice initiatives and ideas, and the opportunity to network with colleagues.
