The Property Council of Australia will host its annual Property Congress in Darwin this year September 12-14.

Property Council of Australia NT Executive Director, Ruth Palmer, said that this will be the Property Congress’s 41st year in action following from last year’s event in Cairns.

“Darwin will have the opportunity to host over 700 top property delegates from around the nation in September.

“We will see thought leaders and trendsetters from other sectors to refresh thinking, reset agendas and also have the opportunity to connect with peers.

“The Property Congress is cited as – the nation’s number one property conference. It tackles the biggest issues driving property development, investment and growth in Australia and Globally.

“Darwin is the perfect backdrop for a program packed with innovative ideas, megatrends, land activation, and what the future holds for the industry.

“We have a real opportunity this September to showcase Darwin as the Capital of Northern Australia and a place that is open and ready for business.

“With the newly commenced direct flights to China, we are in the prime position for investment opportunities.

“Property Congress here in Darwin will offer a great chance to showcase this unique opportunity in September to over 700 senior industry delegates.

“The Top End is an iconic Australian City and this presents a chance to sell the Territory as a top tourist and living destination.

“The chance to hold Congress on our turf is great for NT members as it brings us to the centre of all the buzz.

“Being a place that is generally very isolated we have an opportunity to branch out and network with various businesses we wouldn’t usually get to mingle with.

“This opportunity offers a big boost to the Northern Territory. It will expose a wide variety of business and open further opportunities.

“This jam packed 3 day event also allows for an understanding by other city delegates on the problems and challenges we are currently facing in a slow economic climate.”

Congress attendees will hear from a leader who led reform during challenging circumstances in New Zealand’s history, RT Hon John Key GNZM AC, Former Prime Minister of New Zealand.
