Darwin Convention Centre was delighted to partner with Agentur and Australia Day Council NT to deliver an indoor festival that celebrated Darwin’s many vibrant cultures. The indoor festival was part of a full day of programming for what was the largest Australia Day Festival ever to be held in Darwin.

With January traditionally a difficult time of year in the Top End to plan for an event of this scale outdoors, it made sense to host the event at the Centre, where we could ensure everything organised could go ahead, regardless of the ‘seasonal’ climate outside.

The Centre’s Halls and concourse were transformed into an eclectic display of larger-than-life art installations, complemented by a diverse range of musical performances throughout the day, an indoor market of stalls and food vendors, and a quality range of activities available for young families to enjoy.

It was a special day to kick off our 2022 events calendar, and we expect the Australia Day NT Festival to become a much anticipated annual celebration in Darwin.
