Event Planning
The Centre's Events Team offer invaluable specialist advice in all aspects of event planning including room set-ups, catering, technology, telecommunications and security. Every event is different so the Events Team will customise what's on offer at the Centre to suit your specific requirements.
Food & Beverage
The extensive food and beverage fare is modern Australian in character, incorporating local and regional specialties. On offer is simple, fresh and uncomplicated food made only with the finest ingredients, from freshly caught seafood and produce sourced from local growers. Darwin Convention Centre's talented chefs have created a diverse selection of menus for all occasions, from innovative conference packages to sumptuous gala dinners menus and inspiring cocktail parties.
Audio Visual
From the requirements of a simple presentation to a spectacular production, the Centre's Production Team will provide professional support and advice to ensure each and every event is the most successful yet.
Alternatively, the Centre will work in partnership with the client's appointed production company to achieve the best technical outcomes.
Communications
The Centre is equipped for interactive multi-media technology, complete wireless internet connectivity and networking with technology specialists on hand to ensure all communications needs are met.
Special requirements such as cyber cafes, video conferencing, simultaneous multi-lingual translations or digital voting systems can be organised on request.
Exhibitions
An area of 4,000 square metres of fully air-conditioned, column-free halls provide flexible exhibition space, whether at full capacity for up to 225 exhibition booths or subdivided to one, two or three spaces.
Staging and Rigging
The Centre's mobile staging facilities cater for stage sizes up to 12m x 12m x 1.2m (40' x 40' x 4') with p.a. wings. Extensive flying points throughout audio visual equipment as well as promotional displays.
Special Building Features
LCD screens are located throughout the Centre to showcase daily program information, special announcements, PowerPoint presentations, videos and/or sponsor ads.
Electronic signage at the registration desk can be used for information, promotion opportunities or directional purposes or simply to welcome delegates. For exhibitions and trade functions, service pits provide power, data and telephone lines, as well as water and waste facilities in all Halls.
Security
Darwin Convention Centre strives to create a safe and secure environment for every event it hosts. The Centre can provide security 24 hours, seven days a week. Special security planning is easily arranged on request.
Disabled Access
The Darwin Convention Centre strives to provide an environment for all guests and staff who may have restricted mobility or special needs. All public areas are easily accessible by wheelchairs.
Designated disabled car parks are available in the Centre's underground car park in close proximity to the service lifts.
Parking
On-site underground parking offers 300 spaces with designated disabled spaces. The cost for parking is $3.00 per entry. Easily accessible private parking is also available at a number of locations in the Darwin Waterfront Precinct.
